We have set the new standard for the contemporary Napa California Bed and Breakfast Inn. Not only with whirlpool tubs and gas fireplaces in every room, but with the food.
We have tailored breakfast to those who want a cuisines that is innovative and fun, daily offering one of the 135 recipes for breakfast, such as Corndog Omelets, Ricotta-Chipotle PopTarts with Berry-Jalapeno Jam, or S’mores French Toast with house made Marshmallow Fluff and Chocolate Maple Syrup. And most exciting of all: we keep track of what you eat when you visit to ensure a new and different breakfast with each visit.
We also accommodate food allergies and work to bring innovative cuisine to Vegans, Vegetarians, and guests who might be Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, Nut-Free, or simply Flexitarians.
We removed all televisions so that you can enjoy intimacy of conversation with each other, or a game of chess or cards while sipping on Prager Port provided in the living room with Jim's famous chocolate chunk cookies. YES, WiFi is available for those who feel they must stay connected to the outside world, but our hope is that you will learn to leave all that aside to enjoy great Napa bed and breakfast hospitality here at the inn and at the wineries.
As a gay-owned and operated inn we are happy to state that we are "straight-friendly" and welcome all here into our home. We are in the heart of downtown historic Napa with access to 400 plus wineries in the valley, and Sonoma is just a 15 minute drive away.

Food & Wine
The Inn On First is redefining breakfast one dish at a time.
Our menu is designed each week to accommodate food allergies and dietary needs, ensuring a hot breakfast for each guest daily.
With over 130 breakfast recipes (Chef Jim has set a goal of 250 before retirement), each morning he puts out something new and exciting during your stay. Better than that: with each successive visit he will offer something new as he keeps track of what you eat when you visit.
You should expect to help yourself between 8:30 a.m and 10 a.m. to fresh coffee, tea, orange juice, fresh fruit, yogurt, house-made granola, cereal and milk, and a house-made pastry at a sideboard.
When guests finish the first course they are served a hot entree at table. A sampling of what to expect:
