Skiing & Snowboarding
Okemo Mountain Resort has 120 trails ranging from beginner to expert terrain over their 654 acres of mountain. The 19 mountain lifts reach a diversity of trails from groomers to moguls and glades. If you’re into tricks then you’ll love playing around in the ten different terrain parks featuring rails, boxes, jumps, hits and pipes. There are a number ski and ride school options for beginners and kids.
If you’re in the area and need a break from the mountain or just prefer aerobic winter sports then you’ll love the cross country skiing and snow shoeing trails at the foot of the mountain.
This mountain rollercoaster is an all season hit at Okemo Mountain Resort. It’s a scenic and smooth ride through the alpine forests with the riders having complete control over their ride down the mountain. The ride begins with a 1,600 foot climb followed by a 375 foot descent.
This is a favorite apres ski activity at Okemo. Located just off the bunny slopes and an activity that is suitable for all ages.
This is an exhilarating adventure that will offer you a different view of the mountain. These snowcats have specially-designed cabins for guests from which you will see the valley lights at night.
This is a full-sized hockey rink and ice skating pavilion where skate rentals are available.
Places to Stay
Located Weston, VT you’ll find The Inn at Weston, an idyllic and romantic bed and breakfast. This is the perfect, relaxing spot to come back to after a day on the mountain or otherwise romping around Okemo Mountain Resort. There are plenty of great things to do in the evenings including a visit to the Weston Playhouse, or grab a good book from their extensive library and read by the fire after a delicious dinner in the candlelit dining room. A little closer to the hill you’ll find Inn at Water’s Edge on Echo Lake in Ludlow. This Victorian Estate is the epitome of a cozy place to come back to the end of the day. Their pub is a great place to unwind after the slopes, and most of the rooms have private Jacuzzis and fireplaces. The Crisanver House is located close by in Shrewsbury, VT is a sophisticated country inn that is just off the highway. The glass-enclosed conservatory for dining is a highlight on their beautiful 120 acres.
