Northwest Women's Show to Celebrate 26th Year!

Festivals and Events Select Registry – February 26, 2014

Hey ladies! Pack your bags and leave the guys behind for this one. The Northwest Women’s Show will celebrate its 26th year in Seattle! It’s happening at the CenturyLink Field Event Center from March 21st through March 23rd, 2014. The event will honor Northwest women entrepreneurs and will feature several expert speakers, including Stacy Lill, Janea Dahl, Marianne Binetti, and Deanna Minich.

  • Stacy Lill is co-founder of O Wines. Her mission is to fund college scholarships for low income, capable young women so they can achieve their greatest potential. Each purchase of O Wines Chardonnay and Red Blend helps send young women to college through the Opportunity for Success Scholarship program.
  • Creator of Drama Notebook, Janea Dahl will also be speaking. Drama Notebook is the largest collection of drama games and activities available today. She’ll be teaching you how to bring creativity to your family life with “10 Ways to Help Your Kids Find Their Dramatic Spark!” Dahl has a BA and spent twelve years working in professional theatre.
  • Next up is Marianna Binetti, a northwest horticultural expert. She has a degree in horticulture from Washington State University, and writes a syndicated gardening column that runs in more than a dozen newspapers each week. She has also written or co-written 10 gardening books. Come see her at the show to talk about edible gardening.
  • And last but not least is Deanna Minich, founder of Food + Spirit. She’s a leader in nutritional medicine and a champion for global health. Deanna Minich is also an author, educator, technical expert and yoga practitioner. Hear her speak to learn how to look at all aspects of toxicity in your life and how to do something about it.

There are many more things taking place during the Northwest Women’s Show. Bags and Baubles is a way to clean out your closet and help end domestic violence. Bring your items to the show on Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning. The Women Against Violence Everywhere Foundation will be selling and accepting gently used handbags, jewelry, scarves, hats and other accessories on Sunday, March 23 at 10 a.m. There will be a wine tasting and bottle sale section as well, featuring more than a dozen local wineries from Washington State. They will pour and sell their wine to show-goers to benefit the Northwest Center in Seattle. Finally, there will be special guests you can meet within the SPIRIT 105.3 Booth. Booth 743 will provide a meet and greet with Dr. Gregg Jantz, best-selling author and founder of The Center; Carrie Abbott, founder of The Legacy Institute; and Ana Kelly, afternoon DJ Host for SPIRIT 105.3. With three stages and 400 exhibits, this event promises an informational and amazing time. Sign up now for a day of fashion, fitness, food and fun. Click here to buy your tickets.
