2014 Georgia Wine Country Festival is Almost Here

Festivals and Events, Georgia, Things to Do Select Registry – May 5, 2014

When you think of the places in the United State most known for wine, your mind will probably head to Napa Valley or Sonoma Wine Country in Northern California. That is certainly understandable, but in the southeast, Georgia produces some of the finest grapes and wines, as well. North Georgia wine is so popular that the 2014 Georgia Wine Country Festival will be making its 13th annual appearance this June. The event is presented by Three Sisters Vineyard & Winery in Dahlonega, GA, and will be taking place every Saturday and Sunday during the entire month of June. Here are the details for this fabulous festival.

The Georgia Wine Country Festival will be open every Saturday in June from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. and every Sunday in June from 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. This gives you nine different opportunities to check out the festival in 2014! General admission is free, while visitors will have to pay a fee in order to enter the Wine Garden with different Georgia Wineries from around the state. Participating wineries include Boutier Vineyards & Winery, Chateau Elan, Cottage Vineyards & Winery, Currahee Vineyards & Winery, Georgia Winery, and Three Sisters Vineyard.

If you aren’t a fan of wine but still want to enjoy the festival, you are in luck! Atlanta-based SweetWater Brewing Company will be giving beer lovers what they desire. The brewery will be selling two of their nationwide favorites: SweetWater 420 Extra Pale Ale and SweetWater Blue.

Two excellent restaurants are also featured each and every weekend of the event. Guests can choose between Rib County BBQ and Bone Lick BBQ. Each offers a unique flavor, but both barbecue joints are sure to satisfy your palate.

Not only will the Georgia Wine Country Festival give you a delicious treat for your taste buds, but you can also delight your ear drums with live music. Here are the scheduled musical guests for the 2014 festival:
