These inns offer rooms, suites and cabins to suit different preferences of all guests. Most rooms have a private bath. Bathrobes and hair dryers are also available in each bath. In some inns that are pet friendly, guests traveling with a pet may reserve the cabin. Most inns' meals are prepared by an award winning chef and include a gourmet breakfast, a gourmet picnic lunch and casual dining Sunday through Friday evenings. Fine dining is offered on Saturday evenings. Breakfast for two people is included in all most room rates.

Inn's offers a number of packages to their guests visiting at different times of the year. Some inn's have mid-week special that include a 10% discount on the room rate to guests who stay at least three nights between Sunday and Thursday, but some are not available between July and October. Some inn's have special holiday packages. A Valentines weekend package allows guests who stay two nights to get the third night for half price and includes a special Valentines dinner with wine and a five-course gourmet dinner. There are even inns for guests with specific interests like the  bird watching weekend package that includes guided bird walks, a lectures by bird experts, picnic lunches, fine dining on Saturday evening and a birdhouse for the guests to take home. There are also several other packages available that include many other interest and occasions.

Many inns offer wedding, elopement, vow renewal and anniversary packages for interested guests that include the ceremony, a minister, banquets, receptions, flowers, photography and a videographer among other special services.

Businesses can take advantage of many inns as a corporate retreat. West Virginia is a peaceful place to get away from all the daily stress of an office and improve employee teamwork skills or provide training if desired. Many inns have a conference room with equipment needed to hold meetings and place conference calls that are available upon request.

Activities around many West Virginia areas for interested guests include hiking, horseback riding, canoeing, scuba diving and rock climbing among other activities. Places of interest include Smoke Hole Caverns, historic and civil war sites, Harper's Old Country Store and Cass Scenic Railroad.

Some inn guest policy's usually require people to stay two nights minimum on weekends and three nights minimum on holiday weekends, but a shorter stay could be available if one calls or emails ahead of time. Reservations to secure rooms are a deposit equal to a one-night stay in the preferred room. Most inns accept personal checks within five days of the day the reservation is made or credit cards as well. Some have a 15-day notice that is required on all cancellations.
