One of the most interesting areas for exploring colonial and industrial history is the charming town of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. With the presence of the Pocono and Blue Mountains, incredible scenic drives, and important universities and colleges, the area provides visitors with abundant ways to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

A Charm Preserved Through Time
Located in the Lehigh Valley, the area exudes a charm that has been sensitively and expertly preserved through time. With magnificent specimens of architecture along beautiful streets, foliage that envelops no matter what the season, and an ever-present sense of surrounding big nature, it is no wonder that so many people come to this exquisite town to discover a calm and inviting rhythm.

Respite and Relaxation
Bethlehem offers a number of excellent bed and breakfasts designed to envelop you in comfort, grace, and elegance. Near to abundant outdoor activities, choosing any one of the beautiful inns will provide you days of respite and relaxation.

Sayre Mansion
Located in the heart of Bethlehem, Sayre Mansion is the former home of the entrepreneur, Robert Sayre. This restored 1858 structure features 22 guest rooms and suites, all appointed with a grace and elegance one would expect from a bygone era.

The Main House
The Main House is a magnificent blend of old world graciousness with the comfortable amenities of a modern hotel. Each guestroom is created in unique style, such as the extraordinary Conservatory, with its 180-degree bird’s eye view of the town.

The Conservatory
The Conservatory is perhaps the most famous room in the inn, as it spans the full depth of the house. With its enormous windows, the room fills with light, creating a sense of space and expanse that comes from its creation as a rooftop aerie. The sleekly designed furniture, inviting queen bed, luxurious sitting area, Franklyn stove, plants, and other accoutrements guarantee that this is a room you will never forget.

Other Tantalizing Choices
Other rooms in the Main House are equally as tantalizing. Appointed with king size beds, perfectly placed antiques, and a sense of timelessness, you will be transported to another world no matter which one you select.

The Carriage House
The Carriage House was also built in 1858 to house the carriage animals and supplying living quarters to visitors, including Mr. Sayre’s father. A three-bay carriage garage complete with wainscoted walls, floors, and ceilings were added and completed in 1897, creating a lasting charm.

Sensitivity to Beauty

Today the house boasts other renovations that have preserved the exterior details and maintained the original walls and flooring. With sensitivity to the beauty of 19th century materials, the remaining lumber from that period has been used on the stairways, trim, and living areas. Elements from the stables were also used as accents in the suites.

Unwind and Wash Away Your Cares
The refurbished suites offer exquisite hardwood floors, feather beds, pillows, and comforters, and deluxe triple sheeting that beg you to stay in bed just a little bit longer. Whirlpool baths for two, as well as showers in the bathrooms, help you unwind as you wash away your cares and delve further into your holiday.

The Perfect Escape
With amenities such as hearty breakfasts, WiFi, venues for private events, and more, Sayre Mansion offers the perfect escape.  And if you are looking for special packages, the inn has designed several that are ideal for every taste.
