The Augusta and Rockingham County bird clubs hold their annual week-end retreats here every year.

Great Oak Manor , Chestertown , Md. Enjoy the bird migration in our front yard overlooking the Chesapeake Bay . We are also located 15 minutes north of Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge. This is a 2,285-acre island refuge that is a resting place for migrating and wintering waterfowl. The spring and fall months are the best time to view migratory birds. It is also the home to the southern bald eagle, as is our own back yard!

Inn at Riverbend , Pearisburg , Va. Spot many species from the deck or terrace as they feed, nest and soar through the meadow. Visit the third annual birding festival in this area May 16-18 Mountain Lake Migratory Bird Festival.
