Country Gardens and Wilderness Vistas- Still relatively unknown, the gardens of the South and West Puget Sound areas offer locals and visitors alike an opportunity to experience a huge variety of species and garden styles. Beautiful Bays, Majestic Mountains, Scenic Cities

Few places in the world offer the eclectic mix of cultural, marine, mountain, shopping and entertainment attractions that are found around Puget Sound. The verdant forests and cerulean waters supported native cultures rich in tradition and even now offer an amazing variety of recreational possibilities.

Just Far Enough to Get Away

When city weary Seattleites run away for a weekend, this is one of their favorite destinations. A scenic ferry ride or drive leads you to this magical country where heavily forested mountains run down to the misty coves and bays along Puget Sound and the Hood Canal. It is a natural paradise, a haven, with more than enough to do if you care to--but no one to criticize if you don't.
