The St. Francis Inn, built in 1791, is an oasis. Guests easily walk to everything St Augustine offers and then return to the B&B to relax. Some of our 19 unique rooms have fireplaces, balconies, and jetted tubs, all featuring antique furniture and modern comforts. The grounds include a heated pool, four-season gardens, and a walled courtyard. Guests return year after year for the friendly staff, generous amenities, and scrumptious food.

Stay for the Story

The inn was built in 1791 as a family home, but it’s been an inn since 1845. You’ll see our origins wherever you look. Walking through you’ll find exposed beams and period furniture. St Augustine loves its history. As its oldest inn, we fit right in.

Guest Reviews

My wife and I celebrated our first anniversary here and the stay was lovely. The Saffron suite is amazing. The amenities were worth it. Great coffee, delicious snacks, breakfast was delicious. The location was awesome as well. Only a 10-15 minute walk to everything in historic downtown.

What a delightful Inn! Stayed in the Saffron Suite - very spacious with its own front porch complete with swing and rockers. Staff was helpful. Nice social hour each evening and delicious desserts! Highly recommend and bonus its dog friendly too.

Comfortable, full of history, and on the quiet side of the historic district but still within a very fast and easy walk to everything. It's a true inn, not a hotel. They served a delicious breakfast and had other details and extras that made it special. We had a beautiful stay, and this will now be where we always book when in St. Augustine.

Excellent location for enjoying St. Augustine. Cindy has been amazing. We enjoyed a birthday celebration with a cake placed in our room. The breakfast was good. Saying hi to the outdoor resident cats by the pool was a nice bonus. Complimentary umbrellas, bicycles, coffee.

I was traveling solo and spent three nights here in November. What a great experience! Walking distance to almost everything significant in St. Augustine, great historical charm, friendly hard-working staff, wonderful breakfasts, and even time to re-connect with the owner from years past when our professional careers crossed and caught up with his life and family. Couldn't have asked for a more ideal vacation. I met several patrons who...See More
