As part of the hospitality at the Thomas Shepherd Inn B&B in Shepherdstown, WV, we are pleased to offer you a full breakfast in the morning along with beverages and our signature spice biscotti for early risers. Our full breakfasts consist of a fruit course, an entree with breakfast meat, and baked goods and are 'cook's choice'; we don't have a buffet or 'cooked to order' menu options.
To help us prepare a breakfast you will enjoy, please tell us when booking of ANY dietary restrictions you may have. Many of our breakfasts are casserole-style creations that cannot be changed before serving but can be adapted if we know of any problems before your arrival! Dietary restrictions include things like no sugar, allergies to wheat, eggs or dairy, religious restrictions on pork and shellfish, no meat for vegetarians, etc. We do our best to prepare a delicious breakfast for all of our guests. There are times, however, when we cannot meet all dietary restrictions - in that case, we have cereal, homemade low-fat, low-sugar granola and yogurt available for you.
Guests have recently enjoyed homemade sticky buns and hot apple soup with a southwest potato strata and local sausage patties; another morning's menu consisted of banana-walnut muffins and fresh fruit with lime-ginger syrup with blueberry-pecan French toast and crisp local bacon.
Our breakfasts are typically served at large tables in two dining rooms (each seats six guests) from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. but if your schedule requires special arrangements please let us know and we'll do our best to work with you. Early beverage service (coffee, tea or decaf) with our signature spice biscotti is available at 7:00 a.m.
