Built in 1857 for Newton Mitchell, and expanded by rancher Louis Ogé, this exquisite antebellum neoclassical property sits on 1.5 acres overlooking the famed Riverwalk, surrounded by lush plantings, rose gardens and lawns. Located in downtown San Antonio's King William Historic District, The Oge House is just a short four block stroll to the main Riverwalk loop in the center of downtown. It's amazing that the quiet and serenity of this stately property is situated so near the numerous hotel towers located at the center of the Riverwalk.
In confirmation of its historical importance, the Oge House was one of a handful of structures in San Antonio chosen by the U.S. Department of the Interior to be recorded in the Historic American Buildings Survey for its archives in the Library of Congress. Step into another era and allow yourself to be transported to a slower-paced time, while enjoying the luxurious, modern amenities found at the finest hotels.
Expansive verandas, gazebo and seating throughout the gardens and lawns offer time for reflection and relaxation. Nothing compares to an afternoon spent with a book in the hammock. Wake to a delicious full breakfast served in the elegant dining room each morning.
Business and convention travelers will appreciate the high-speed internet, in-room desk, mini refrigerator, and flexible breakfast options.
The Oge House Inn offers 10 guest experiences ( 7 rooms and 3 suites) on three floors, each elegantly appointed with American and European antiques.

Because our primary business is lodging, evening weddings can be arranged in conjunction with overnight accommodations. The ideal wedding plan includes booking the entire Oge House for a minimum 2-3 night stay (depending on the season) to insure that your wedding plans do not conflict with the expectations of other guests. Smaller luncheons or other daytime events are possible without booking all lodging rooms.
The wrought iron gazebo overlooking the Riverwalk provides a perfect location for the exchange of wedding vows. Our expansive 1.5 acres of lawns and gardens provide ample space for your special event.
