Only the Lodge at Moosehead Lake offers discerning travelers the opportunity to surround themselves with authentic North woods décor, cuisine, and a full slate of luxury comforts and amenities. The Lodge is a four-season inn nestled in the wilderness of Maine. Its 1917 Cape Cod Colonial appeal has been preserved and treasured, from cozy natural stone fireplaces in each guest room to the vibrant red stained shutters that accent the front façade. The moment guests arrive they see the warm and welcoming inn, feel the fresh air fill their lungs and have a joyful tranquility wash over them.
Treasure the lodge's "Up North Cuisine" including such regular requests as Maine Lobster Mac and Cheese, an indulgent creamy creation where lobster shells are cooked with the stock adding a deep, deep flavor to this dish and specially seasoned Buffalo Meatloaf topped with a roasted red pepper sauce.
March, 2011 guest Ann & Mac Pugh from North Carolina expressed, "When we travel, we want to stay in places that capture the essence of the area while still maintaining that feeling of comfortable luxury. The Lodge at Moosehead Lake does just that." This is a common sentiment.
Some of the Lodges accolades include: BEST of MAINE, January 2008 Down East Magazine, editor’s picks for Lakeside Romance. Distinguished in Karen Brown’s guide as Most Romantic Inn 2008 and Splendid Splurge 2010. 2005 Grand Award winner in the Andrew Harper's Hideaway report. Long Standing AAA 4-diamond since 1994.

Floor to ceiling windows bring a panoramic view of Moosehead Lake and surrounding mountains inside while you enjoy Up North Cuisine, a source of comfort – hot, hearty and filling. Feast on the best that nature offers, from fresh Maine seafood, warm mixed berry cobblers with vanilla ice cream, locally grown bison, Maine crab cakes, stuffed trout and much more. Everything is Ala Carte – so the choices are yours, making it easy to dine here multiple nights. Enjoy a cocktail, our signature Mooseopolitan™ Martini from our martini menu or treat yourself to a selection from our excellent wine list. Only the Lodge at Moosehead Lake combines the view, menu, décor and relaxed atmosphere that you come to the North woods to experience. Reserve a seating from 6:00 to 8:30 on Friday, Saturday or Sunday evening, Mid-June through Mid-October. Patio/deck dining also available (weather permitting). Open New Year’s Eve and Valentine’s Day evening.
Directly outside Chloe’s pub, poised at the crest of the Lodge’s vast, manicured backyard is the natural boulder fire pit. Enjoy a glass of wine around a crackling fire at sunset. “Make your own S’mores” are often featured.
From January through March, we serve a supper in Chloe’s pub, where the welcome is casual and the winter atmosphere is very social. After a day of snowmobiling or snowshoeing, you can warm up with homemade chowder, chili, hot BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, short rib pie and other hearty winter entrée specials. Dining on Friday and Saturday evenings begins at 6:00 (dates and times are subject to change).
“Don't be fooled by the comfortable lodge-like atmosphere of The Lodge at Moosehead Lake dining room. The food is spectacular in every sense of the word. Linda and Dennis, husband-turned-chef source fresh, local Maine ingredients and have a host of purveyors that provide the beginnings of what they craft into their Up North Cuisine. Comforting without being cliché, each dish arrives at the table beautifully plated with layers of flavor that make you wish you had room for more. As a chef, I notice when someone in the kitchen pays attention to how a dish is put together. I call it skill; you'll just call it super-delicious!” according to guest Donna Desfor, Owner/chef of There’s a Chef in my Kitchen.
