Near all major attractions as well as Philadelphia and Wilmington, De., we are secluded so you are guaranteed a relaxing and quiet stay.
There are five spacious bedrooms and two suites with either a king or queen bed. All rooms have large private attached baths. For those traveling with young children or who just desire more privacy, there are two 2-story two bedroom fully equipped houses. Both cottages and one room in the main house are dog friendly. Picture yourself sitting on the front porch and watching the horses grazing in the meadow and enjoying the sound of the waterfall cascading into the pond stocked with koi or watching deer or foxes run by.

All bedrooms are on the second or third floor and have either king or queen beds and have private attached bathrooms. The Inverness and Windsor rooms have private balconies. Every room has a television with DVD player (there is a large library of movies from which to select), a clock radio with CD player and IPod docking station, coffee makers with all supplies, robes, hair drier, and Gilchrist and Soames bath amenities. The Cambridge in the main house is dog friendly. Both the Meadow Cottage and Carriage House are child and dog friendly. Free WIFI is available all over the entire property. Picture yourself sitting out on the front porch listening to the waterfall while you work on your computer. There is also a guest pantry on the second floor that has a refrigerator, ice machine. Keurig coffee maker, and tea kettle. All supplies as well as soft drinks and juices and snacks are available 24 hours a day. We also bake fresh cookies for the cookie jar each day.

No buffet here; we delight in making and serving breakfasts fit for a king or queen. The New York Times wrote, "The elaborate breakfasts are a highlight", and we take that to heart. Our breakfasts start with a special fruit course which is followed by an entree accompanied by several sides. We serve LaColombe coffee, roasted locally and served by all the premier restaurants in Philadelphia. You may also choose from a large selection of teas as well as orange, grapefruit, or cranberry juice. A sample breakfast could start with a poached pear with raspberry coulis, followed by our cheese and spinach roulade with sausage and baked tomato. Or it could be a cold blueberry brulee followed by an upside down banana pancake served with scrambled eggs and bacon. No matter what we choose to make, we guarantee you will leave our table satisfied and full. Most of our guests tell us they don't need to stop for lunch because our breakfasts are so bountiful. Special diets are happily accommodated with 24 hours notice. Need to leave early? Please give us 24 hours notice and we'll make you a to go breakfast.
