Graystone Inn, originally "The Bridgers Mansion," was built in 1905-1906 by Elizabeth Haywood Bridgers, widow of Preston L. Bridgers, local merchant and son of Robert Rufus Bridgers, past president of the Atlantic Coast Line Railway, founder of the Wilmington/Weldon Railroad, and two time representative to the Confederate Congress.
An historic landmark and one of the most elegant structures in Wilmington, the inn has recently undergone extensive renovations and has been returned to its original "turn of the century grandeur" under the ownership of innkeepers Rich and Marcia Moore.
The spacious sunlit parlor and sitting room features comfortable sofas, chairs and period antiques. The adjoining music room is graced with a baby grand piano, which is kept in a state of concert readiness. A stunning mahogany-paneled library, and elegantly set dining room all complete the vast ground floor of the Inn. Made of hand-carved oak and rising three stories, the grand Renaissance-style staircase envelopes the Ballroom. The exquisite garden and terraces provide a most relaxing atmosphere year round.

The Bellevue Jr. Suite is situated on the very private third floor of the mansion. The walls, decorated in French wallpaper, set off the four poster king size bed and Victorian fainting couch.
The Claw foot soaking tub and separate large walk-in shower, both built for two, make this room perfect for a romantic get-a-way, honeymoon or anniversary celebration.
