The Goldmoor Breakfast Eggs Benedict, warm red raspberry sauce drizzled over paper thin fruit slices; piping hot strata, layered with fresh mushrooms and cheeses; and light-as-air pastries and popovers are some of the tempting treats you may try at The Goldmoor breakfast table. Enjoy freshly brewed coffee or one of 32 varieties of Stash Teas. A splendid view of the Mississippi River Valley, soft music. Breakfast is included with stay and is seved by room service or you may dine at your convenience between 8:30 and 10:00 a.m.. By request, Goldmoor Staff will gladly prepare a heart-healthy, low fat breakfast.
Simple elegance describes the dining experience at our Galena, Illinois restaurant Unmatched Old World decor, a diverse wine cellar, and premier personal service are all complemented by our chef's creative cuisine. Enjoy dining in one of our cozy booths or elegant tables with breathtaking views overlooking the Mississippi River. For a unique experience, seating is also available at the Chef's table. Dining is open to the public Thursday - Monday. Our menu always offers a choice of selected entrees for the evening, giving our chef the opportunity to create dishes that are entirely unique, or a new twist on something familiar. Driven to put forth the best cuisine, the chef uses his own stocks for sauces, freshly baked goods, and original homemade ice creams and sorbets. This level of freshness and quality is not always easy, but we find it necessary to offer the one-of-a-kind dining experience that we strive to offer. The Goldmoor Inn provides unique Illinois meeting facilities in Galena and Jo Daviess County. Relax in a retreat-like atmosphere overlooking the Mississippi River with the surrounding tranquil woodland providing a quiet setting for your gathering.
The Goldmoor is available for private parties, meetings, luncheons, corporate retreats, and more. For your convenience, our on-site meeting/event coordinator can assist in planning breakfast, refreshments, or dining at the Inn. We can also coordinate Galena tours or dining with one of the local restaurants.
We feature a variety of meeting rooms accommodating up to 50 people in the Inn, and we also offer a seasonal open-air pavilion to accommodate up to 80 people.
Included in our services is wireless Internet access, use of A/V equipment, in-room, free long-distance phone systems, and Spa Services. We are ideal for small informal groups and board retreats. Group rates and seasonal rates are available.
Tour buses are welcome.
Suggested packages include culinary classes, tours of the Inn and suites, self-guided garden tours, and lunch overlooking the Mississippi River. We look forward to providing the ultimate in service and hospitality for your next event or meeting.

At The Goldmoor, we are proud to offer a romantic Illinois wedding location where we are able to host an intimate wedding with the bride and groom or a larger wedding with many family and friends in attendance. The outdoor Pavilion, available seasonally from May through October, is designed for events with seating up to 80 guests. The facility is complete with lighting, sound system, and ceiling fans. The Pavilion sits on the cusp of the inner meadow surrounded by beautiful flowered gardens. We can accommodate weddings and/or receptions, renewal of vows, or any other important event such as family reunions, anniversaries, and birthdays.

The Gazebo is especially designed for a wedding of 20 or fewer. The Gazebo is perched on the bluff overlooking the Mississippi River. This facility is climate controlled to accommodate all seasons and is available for all types of events. Surrounding the gazebo are seasonal flora and fauna to show off colors and aromas in the spring, summer, and fall.
The Wedding Ceremony
Each ceremony is individually tailored to the wishes of the wedding couple and is performed by a legal officiate. Our wedding facilities are at your disposal, whether you wish to be married in the Gazebo, overlooking the Mississippi River, the Pavilions, or one of the many special areas on our landscaped grounds
