Our establishment has nine guestrooms comprised of deluxe guest rooms, two suites and cottages. Each is named after a mountain peak viewed from the Inn, appointed in individual charming country elegance, and offers king, queen or twin beds with private bath. We offer special touches like daily newspapers (Wall Street Journal, NY Times, Rutland Herald), a selection of books, magazines, CD’s, European amenities, early morning fresh brewed coffee, and WiFi throughout.

Your chef while staying at Crisanver House is owner Carol Calotta. Carol’s culinary expertise has grown from her youth in Georgia learning all that a Southern kitchen has to offer. Carol has further developed her skills in her travels and most recently in Sicily. Carol has extensive knowledge of the wines, cheeses and pastas of Italy and through the local Garden Club has also cultivated a love for the various species of Vermont wild mushrooms she can use to enhance her delicacies. All this knowledge and love of food she brings to her cooking – for your delight.
The menu changes daily, but you can be assured that you will be served only the freshest health giving ingredients. From our local farmer’s market we bring you the area’s daily harvest, something you will appreciate when you experience one of her savory specialties such as the gourmet country breakfasts, fresh baked biscotti in the afternoon or a fabulous fruit cobbler for dessert.
We pride ourselves in offering you the best, whether it’s fresh fruit or orange juice in the morning, hot from our oven popovers, brewed rich coffee or fragrant tea after a scrumptious meal. Your dinner service features candlelight, Wedgewood China, crystal, linens and fresh flowers. You are sure to enjoy you dining experience at Crisanver House.
Begin your day with one of our eye opening gourmet country breakfasts. It may be flapjacks (pumpkin, rum raisin, blueberry, cranberry walnut, banana pecan, etc) or one of a variety of farm fresh egg dishes such as frittata, huevos rancheros, etc, McCann Irish oatmeal, Swiss Familia topped with fresh fruit, Belgian Waffles with ice cream and/or Strawberries, all with baked Turkey Bacon or maple flavored breakfast sausage. In addition there is fresh squeezed orange or grapefruit juice, freshly made fruit salad, fresh pineapple, melon or baked Vermont apples with home baked bread, muffins or scones---all complimented by freshly brewed green Mountain French Roast Coffee or gourmet teas.
Afternoon tea with a home baked biscotti or cookies, fresh lemonade, soft drink or hot chocolate depending on the season is always a treat.
Dinner, always special particularly at sunset, with table linens, candlelight, English china, sterling flatware, crystal glasses, an arrangement of fresh flowers in season.
The menu of the day set by the chef is prepared with fresh ingredients and includes one of a variety of green salads, whole wheat or multi grain breads, homemade soups, entree and the chef’s dessert of the day. The chef’s soups prepared in season include Curried Butternut Squash, Pasta Fagioli, French Onion Gratinee’, Escarole with Cannellini, Gazpacho or Melon.
The entrée maybe fish, fowl, or low fat prime meats, such as Black Angus beef or beef tenderloin with fresh Vermont produce. The entrees could be Mama’s Garlic Roasted Chicken (an Inn favorite), Marinated Pork Tenderloin grilled and served with the house applesauce, Flank Steak a la Mediterraneo, or Salmon Balsimico.
Our Chef’s desserts include many Fruit Pies, Cobblers, Tartin’s, Poached Pears w’ Crème Anglaise, Double Chocolate Brownies w’ Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream. An Inn favorite is Ben & Jerry’s ice cream topped with Amarena Cherries from Italy. In Season fresh fruit is always available.
In warmer weather you may dine “alfresco” on the porch enjoying panoramic mountain views and sunsets. A private room for dining is also available for parties up to ten.
Espresso, Cappuccino may also accompany your dessert selection.
Dietary meals are prepared, with advance notice, to your needs.
Dinner reservations at the Inn are required.
We are also pleased to assist you in selecting one of the areas many fine and varied restaurants. We maintain a book of their menus for guest convenience and can make your reservations.

Crisanver House offers boutique facilities that are perfect for conferences, workshops and get togethers. The privacy and peace afforded by our 120 acre resort is the ideal setting. For a focused meeting where participants are free from distractions and interruption, a creative meeting, brainstorming, a strategic review, or a day of watercolor, rug hooking, or catching up with family at your reunion…the setting is unmatched. We can accommodate smaller events with more intimate rooms in the main house, and for larger events from May to September we can host up to 60 attendees in our recently constructed spacious Millennium Barn. Our nine guestrooms and suites accommodate up to 20, and with additional lodging in nearby inns and hotels, there are plenty of rooms close by for the rest of the party. Any event is enhanced with splendid dining, for which Crisanver House is experienced and well regarded. Meals, refreshments, and opening reception are customized to fit your budget and any dietary restrictions. All of the inn’s facilities and recreation are available for your enjoyment and relaxation. One can enjoy our heated swimming pool, tennis court, hiking trails, snow-shoeing, yoga classes and reflexology sessions. If you are building in time for the group to explore the locale there are plenty of seasonal activities at Crisanver, and also a listing of area events for you to choose from.
