The Chanticleer Inn combines the ambiance of yesteryear with the comfort and amenities of today. Built in 1927, the Inn and the 17 English Cottage style guest rooms are nestled around the Inn's courtyard and swimming pool. While the Mountain stone exterior retains it's original charm, the interior spaces have been completely renovated. Antique furnishings create a unique and inviting atmosphere in each guest room. Amenities include a patio, private bath, individual central heat and air, DVD player and flat screen TV with cable. Some rooms feature private patio, fireplace and/or whirlpool or Steam shower. Located high atop historic Lookout Mountain and only 10 minutes from downtown Chattanooga, TN the Inn is directly across the street from Rock City Gardens and two Banquet facilities all with spectacular views of the Chattanooga valley. Nearby are hiking trails with waterfalls, golf courses, restaurants, shopping, and many other attractions. Family owned and operated, the Inn serves a full home-made breakfast each morning. Our bountiful breakfast is served each morning in our bright and cheerful dining room, sun room, or outside on our lovely mountain stone patio. Take in the beautiful views of the gardens or sit back and watch the many species of birds that call The Chanticleer Inn home. Enjoy an array of fresh fruits, cereals, sweet breads and cakes prepared daily.
If you have a heartier appetite, we offer hot entrees that change daily. These include Blueberry Buttermilk Pancakes, Eggs Benedict, Assorted Frittatas, Belgian Waffles, and a variety of potato crusted Quiches. Whether you are heading out to conquer one of the many hiking trails or taking in the sights of nearby Chattanooga, our breakfast is sure to add a delightful start to your day.
