Each of the comfortable guestrooms at our Lenox, MA bed and breakfast is named for former owners of the mansion, dating back to 1766. Each guestroom has luxurious, freshly ironed sheets, a private bath, air-conditioning, outgoing telephones, toiletries, and hairdryers. Deluxe Wood-Burning Fireplace Rooms
The Dana is our most spacious room, favored by our celebrity and encore guests. Lounge like royalty on the luxurious chaise or cushy sofa, savoring the warmth of the wood-burning fireplace or perch on a window seat, enjoyed the treetop and mountain views. The Dewey, a luxury-sized room with a come-hither four-poster king bed and heavenly featherbed, invites you to cuddle up in front of the wood-burning hearth or watch TV on the spacious (sleep) sofa, enjoying pastoral views from your window seat, penning a post card from the antique desk. The Egleston is seductive with its warmth of coral, seafoam and wheat hues, four-poster queen bed with luxurious featherbed, inviting cushy down sofa, the coziness of the wood-burning fireplace, its view of our historic New England stone-walled garden, its spacious shower, and the antique clawfoot tub for two. The Wright-Smith Mini-Suite's floor-to-ceiling windows look over the treetops in this two-room, Americana "tree house" suite, and catches the breezes from the stately oaks and graceful birches. Snuggle up Mission queen bed or on the sitting room's twin-sized daybed and watch television, warmed by the ambiance of the gas fireplace. The Post, set amidst the rock garden, is a graceful room. Large Moderate Rooms
The Hubbard features 21st century comfort in this room dating from colonial times, the luxury of a four-poster king bed (or two twins) with a Martha Washington bedspread and a pastoral toile de Jouy setting the scene, the antique desk, the ease of comfortable seating, the ceiling fan. A few steps across the hall, the past and present also meet in the newly renovated private bath, where today's large glass shower boasts an oversized rainforest showerhead dating from 1910. 2nd floor, mansion.
The Wagner is a cheery room that creates its own sunshine and reflects the historic gardens it overlooks. The hand-painted garden in the updated private bath with shower, the queen bed, ceiling fan, television and small seating area wrap you with warmth and comfort. 2nd floor, mansion.
The Goodwin invites your into a garden in bloom, a cheerful yellow, peony, and lime aerie with the charming character of sloped ceilings and dormer windows, the four-poster iron king bed (or two twins), small seating area, convenient desk, ceiling fan and updated private hand-painted bath with shower. 3rd floor, mansion.
Small Moderate Rooms
The Wilson, the restful former sewing room of the mansion, offers coziness with its comforting buttercup and cornflower blue decor, queen bed, antique princess dresser, cushy chintz chair, and, yes, the antique sewing machine as well as a private bath with shower. 2nd floor, mansion.

Breakfast is served in Birchwood Inn's 19th century dining room - fireside or overlooking the front garden - generally between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. with freshly brewed coffee available earlier Our guests have voted Birchwood Inn "Best Breakfast in New England", and we continually strive to meet and exceed your expectations.
We use only the freshest ingredients in our homemade breads and muffins, fruits -- some of which are from our organic gartden -- and entrees, and take special pride in preparing and serving our full country breakfast each morning.
When you sit down at your table for two, we're right there with our piping hot specially blended coffee. If you choose from one of our varied selection of teas, we're happy to make you a fresh pot.
Please help yourself to the inn-made tea and toasting breads, yogurts, and cereals. Enjoy the daily fruit dish as your first course, and when you're ready, we'll present you with the hot entree of the day.
