Berry Springs Lodge defies the old “it’s lonely at the top” adage. Perched atop a hillside and 33 acres, this country elegant  lodge was built from the ground up as an inn and was opened in 2000. Guests can mingle in the great room where a towering stone fireplace reaches to the vaulted ceiling or settle in on their own private deck. The nine rooms and two suites each offer a private bath, seating area, dataport and TV/VCR and CD players. But more importantly, each room has a mountain view. The inn gives new meaning to “room with a view”. Seven of the rooms offer a Jacuzzi, which comes in mighty handy after a day of hiking through the woods, fishing in the ponds on property or toting bags “Pretty Woman” style through the nearby outlet malls. Though only a short distance from Dollywood, shopping, and area atractions, Berry Springs Lodge is light years from the fray. It’s the best of both worlds…it’s right there for those who want the myriad of options in Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, but well away for those who come for the peace, quiet and beauty of the Smokies. For those who choose not to leave the property, hiking trails, bass and catfish ponds, ping pong, horseshoes and crochet offer plenty of adventure.
