Mendocino is a very special place located about half way between the Oregon Border and San Francisco. It's one of only a few Historical Preservation Districts in the state of California. It sets on a peninsula at the mouth of Big River, one of the few natural running rivers left. Its back is to the Redwoods and its front to the rugged Pacific Coastline.
