In conjunction with the Visiting Writers Series at Appalachian State University The Gideon Ridge Inn is pleased to be the home away from home for a growing list of writers who visit the campus of Appalachian State University as part of the Visiting Writers Series. Our association with the Creative Writing Program in the Department of English began in 1996 and since then we have hosted over 60 writers. These have included:
