Gateway Lodge, surrounded by Cook Forest, is truly a resort for all seasons. Recreational activities are abundant year-round, bird watching, hiking, summer theatre, bicycling, canoeing, inner tubing, horseback riding, golf, fishing, hunting, cross country skiing, ice skating, and snowmobiling.

Adjacent to Cook Forest State Park, Gateway Lodge was built in 1934 for your comfort and convenience in a design to harmonize with the Forest. The Lodge is constructed of pine and hemlock logs with wormy chestnut walls and trim and oak flooring - suggesting the ruggedness of the pioneer. Except for an added staircase, front porch, indoor pool and sauna,and 22 suites, the Lodge stands as it was originally built.
