About This Property

The Feel of the 50s

The original structure was built in the 1930’s and then later added to in the 1950’s. The architecture is typical of Palm Springs and it has the unique feature of a Bermuda style roof around the quadrangle courtyard.

The Mira Loma, as it was known, was established in 1938 and was a relaxing hideaway to such notable guests as Marilyn Monroe, Veronica Lake, Gloria Swanson and Hugh O’Brien. A number of stories exist about Marilyn’s favorite room - now called Pretty in Pink. Though we have no way to prove these stories, we have had people stop by from time to time with stories about Rendezvous’ glorious and historic past.

The area in which Rendezvous is situated is “uptown” Palm Springs and is very close to the Racquet club, where many of the celebrities used to stay and party in its heyday. Today, we have restored the glamour of the past and added some of today’s modern conveniences to make the Rendezvous a one of a kind place to stay!
