Weddings: Planning an intimate wedding? Want to get rooms and breakfast for some of the family or wedding party, with the site for your ceremony and reception available for an added fee? If you're interested in exploring the possibilities, let us know. We'd be happy to give you a tour of the inn and grounds so you can let your imagination go to work. We require that all guest rooms be booked for at least two consecutive nights when there are more than 25 in attendance, with the wedding being on the day between. Additional fees are based on the size of your event.
Reunions and gatherings: Need someplace homey to hold a gathering of old friends or a family reunion? This is the perfect spot, with six guest rooms and plenty of indoor and outdoor space for relaxing, visiting and just plain enjoying each other. There's even playground equipment to keep the little one's busy, if any are along for the event. We require that all guest rooms be reserved if you are wanting to have sole access of the common areas, especially if planning something that requires decorating; the number of nights required for the gathering will be determined based on the need for advanced preparations in the morning that might otherwise disturb guests still here from a previous night.
If you're only looking for someplace for a few hours, a $100-per-hour rate (three-hour minimum charge) for use of the common areas is available, with events limited to the hours of noon to 4 p.m. in order to cause minimal inconvenience to room guests when the rooms are not also reserved for your event. In such cases, spaces are to be used as-is without any additional decorations. Events requiring decorating fall under our regular special-event criteria as described on the "Weddings" page.
Business retreats: Even if you need more beds than we offer, this is still a great place to use as "home base" for small business retreats. Because of the retreat atmosphere, creativity is allowed to flow freely as participants have a chance to get away from the usual busy pace. Take advantage of the two living rooms, dining room, seating areas in the upstairs halls and the living area in How Suite It Is to hold break-out discussions and work groups. ADSL access is available in all bedrooms and in the upstairs office/self-service room, and WiFi is available in the downstairs common areas, on the deck and in most guest rooms for those having computers with that capability.
And if you're just needing someplace for up to 15 people to gather in private for a day, How Suite It Is can be reserved at the full nightly rate, getting you use of the great room and bathroom facilities in the suite for the entire day (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), coming out a lot cheaper than the hourly charge for the common areas while having more privacy. Additional fees may apply based on your overall facilities needs.
