Individualized guest attention is a Blue Hill Inn priority. Custom packages for sailing, kayaking, chamber music concerts,  as well as the preparation of special menus to accommodate individual food allergies, preferences, or restrictions may be arranged. Multiple course breakfasts made from the freshest ingredients, afternoon refreshments, an evening hors d'oeuvre hour, and turn down services, are a few of the special touches offered. Adding to the attentive atmosphere, staff personally oversee the details of each guest's stay.

Located on an acre of land near the center of the village of Blue Hill and a block from the head of Blue Hill Bay, the inn is one of 76 structures registered on the National Register of Historic Places. Mature trees, a perennials garden, and a small grove of fruit trees enhance the grounds and provide a restful place for reading, dozing in the hammock, or enjoying a quiet conversation.  The village of 2500, with its white clapboard houses and elm trees, lies between the 950 ft. Blue Hill Mountain and Blue Hill Bay.   

A Federal period building, the Blue Hill Inn has eleven guest rooms, a sunny dining room, a library, and parlor. The building retains many lovingly restored original features, including,  nine over six windows, gleaming wide pumpkin pine floor boards, and six fireplaces. The Cape House, a newer addition to the inn, is located  in a cottage immediately adjacent and welcomes guests to two accommodations year-round: the Cape House Suite, which has wide pine floors, a raised hearth fireplace, full kitchen, private deck, and cathedral ceilings, and the Cape House Studio, which has a kitchenette, king-sized bed, full bath, and private entrance.
