Ingredients

3 eggs, separated
1 1/2 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup butter or margerine, melted
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1 cup sour cream
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup chopped macadamia nuts (Can substitute pecans)
2 cups all-purpose flour

Directions

- In a medium bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff. Set aside.
- in a large bowl, beat the remaining waffle ingredients together. Fold in
the egg whites. Pour into a hot waffle iron that has been greased and bake
to taste.
- Serve with fresh fruit, whipped cream and hot maple syrup.
