Whether you spend the day hiking in the Monongahela forest adjacent to the inn or enjoying the spectacular view of the mountains and valleys from a rocker on the Inn’s wraparound porches, it is like taking a journey back in time to a simpler, slower paced world.

Guests will enjoy the abundance of wildlife, wildflowers, birds, smallmouth bass and trout available in this protected wilderness area. Or, if you prefer, simply sit back and read a book on the porch, taking in the majestic views of the Smoke Hole Canyon and enjoying the harmony with nature.

Activities at the Inn include billiards, table tennis, darts, horseshoes, and book, video & music libraries. Star Gazing is highly recommended since the absence of city lights makes the stars appear brighter and close enough to touch them. While peaceful and unpretentious, the Inn does offer television with Direct TV in the game room, in the event you miss civilization just a bit.
