The other is all Victorian, from its ten-foot ceiling bordered by Bradbury and Bradbury gilded paper to the marble floor surrounding the in-bedroom king whirlpool with double shower heads, luxurious draped bed and sitting area. These rooms must be seen to be truly appreciated and perfectly contrast the Inn's two styles of decorating.

Built in 1856, and home to the Schroeder family for 136 years, the home was added to The Washington House Inn in 1993. Schroeder House guest rooms are Victorian in style, all featuring oversized whirlpool baths surrounded by hand-painted murals commissioned by local artisans. Queen-sized beds and fireplaces are found in these enchanting rooms. The front porch and magnificent perennial garden areas are the perfect places to enjoy a glass of wine. Guests of the Schroeder House of course also enjoy the wine and cheese social hour and breakfast at the main inn.
