Guest suites at this Victoria bed and breakfast inn all have hardwood floors with Persian carpets that have been collected from various places along the Silk Road, primarily Iran, which was home to Eliza’s family for several years. King size beds are made with fine European pure cotton linens, which are professionally pressed by Villa staff. Bathrooms feature double soaker tubs, some with jets. The Alexandria bathroom has heated floors as well. Suites have iPod docks, as well as pre-loaded iPods.
Large public spaces as well as smaller ones invite guests to spend time enjoying this beautiful Victoria property. The library is stocked with books, including several on Marco Polo and his Silk Road travels, as well as guides to Victoria, and works by local authors such as Carol Shields. Magazines include the New Yorker, Condé Nast Traveler, Vanity Fair, and the Walrus, a distinguished Canadian literary magazine. Conde Nast Johansens Travel Guides for the Americas as well as Europe are also to be found in this Victoria Bed and Breakfast Inn’s library. Shelves contain games such as Scrabble, chess, Cranium, and Trivial Pursuits, as well as TV with cable and classic DVDs.
The third floor Spa and Healing Space has a serene massage area with adjoining tub room, space for your yoga practice, window seats for relaxing and reading, and an office for keeping up with business. />The living room with wood-burning fireplace is a fine place to read, visit, share stories and good times. A chess table is set up ready to play, and a window seat looks out onto the garden with reflecting pool and fountain. The Tuscan room, with gas fireplace and hardwood floors with Persian carpets, has French doors leading to the patio and stone terrace, both places for a cozy chat, for reading your Cionde Nast Johansens Travel Guide, or for simply enjoying the garden.
Wireless internet throughout the house facilitates keeping in touch with the outside world when necessary, and each guest room has its own private line telephone with unlimited local calls.
