About This Property

The La Farge Perry House is named for renowned painter and stained glass artist John La Farge and his wife Margaret Perry La Farge residing at 24 Kay Street from 1861 through1864.  Margaret Perry La Farge was also the great granddaughter of the famous Commordore Oliver Hazard Perry and the great grand niece of Commodore Matthew Galbraith Perry. Many of the rooms provide artifacts and original antiques of the period as a few are named after each relative.

This luxury inn is located on a quiet street but within walking distance to Bellevue Avenue shops, museums, the Tennis Hall of Fame and then down to the wharf are where shops, sailing and restaurants abound. In season most of these creative and colorful restaurants provide "al fresco" dining as well as flavorful cuisine in a seaside town.

When you return from your day of shopping, sailing or mansion hopping there are always aftertoon treats served with iced tea and lemonade in the summer and hot tea, hot cocoa and mulled apple cider on chilly afternoons by the fireplace.

Relax in any of our common area in the gardens, the front porch, the parlor or the sitting area with a large screen television off the charming country kitchen.
