Meet the Innkeepers

Diane & Steve Pearson

Diane & Steve Pearson created Pearson's Pond Luxury Inn and Adventure Spa, an elegant waterside retreat. With their keen insights as world travelers and former executives, the inn has evolved since 1990 into what is now an intimate world-class adventure spa retreat and wedding destination. You'll find the perfect balance of privacy, superb hospitality, accommodations and valuable trip planning advice for enjoying Alaska and the hidden gems in Juneau.

Diane serves as innkeeper, travel consultant, Certified Alaska Naturalist, Certified Wedding consultant, Alaska Marriage Commissioner, Master Gardener, yoga leader and is an avid adventurer (she took up ice climbing at age 50). Diane embodies her aspiration as a peaceful woman living in gratitude and abundance. Her enthusiasm for life and helping others to enjoy Alaska to the fullest is heartwarming.

Steve serves as the inn's baker, co-innkeeper, and is an avid adventurer (he took up alpine mountaineering at age 55). Between baking bread, providing Juneau tips to guests and exploring Juneau's trails, he still practices as a lighthearted attorney from his home office. He also writes music (you can hear it at Psalmistry Music), plays guitar, and writes novels. He is a member of the Juneau Alpine Club and his passion for the alpine hiking is contagious. Guests sometimes tag along on his hikes, at their own risk, of course.

Steve and Diane always share a welcoming smile and are fun to visit with along with other guests during afternoon snack or around the campfire. Since the innkeepers live on-site in a separate yet connected building, they are available to assist. Your privacy is assured since there are ample private and public areas for you to lounge.
