Juneau is active in every season. Though nothing tops the summer adventure activities, sightseeing and wildlife viewing between May and September. That said, there are activites, concerts, plays and events year round. 

In fall, winter, spring you'll also enjoy First Fridays, a convivial open house at all the art galleries and venues.  Year round the Juneau Outdoor Club share weekly hiking, biking or kayaking, skiing trips. The City Parks and Recreation Department hosts twice weekly hiking trips, and the National Forest Service hosts summer nature hikes. The Audobon Society has birding walks, especially in spring.  There is lots happening - too much to put here.
