The Pink Rose Pastry Shop

“You can almost follow your nose around the corner…tracing the heavenly scent to the bakery’s charming tearoom….” Bon Appetit, November 1998

“A Sweet Devotion”

As befits someone who has devoted her life to sweets, Julie Van de Graaf, has a harmonious temperament. She delights in her customers and presides over life at the shop as if she were running a large, unpredictable household. ...Her reputation for lavishing extra touches on everything from Peach Pie with a smattering of cardamom to tarts with undercover layers of chocolate ...has made Julie’s shop a Society Hill favorite.
Victoria Magazine, February 1991

This "petunia of a coffee house" attracts Europhiles. "There's nothing like it without flying to Paris." The "pastries are done with pleasure", it's "always the perfect dessert".
Zagat Philadelphia Restaurant Guide
