Dining Room
The dining room has several tables to accommodate private dining for groups of one to ten guests. An extraordinary art glass chandelier hangs from the beamed ceiling to light the main table. The East wall is in the shape of a segmental arch, and contains curved art glass windows and French doors leading to a large porch. Twin crystal cabinets, a curved front built-in buffet, and wall sconces carry out the architectural themes of the building.

Drawing Room
The drawing room features a beamed ceiling, tall wainscoting, and wood floor, all done in quarter-sawn white oak. The focal point of the room is an incredible fused-glass fireplace designed by the Chicago firm of Gianinni and Hilgart. A large display cabinet, the fireplace, and the entrance to the raised foyer are each topped by a 10-foot segmental arch. Tiffany tulip chandeliers and wall sconces cast a warm glow throughout the room.

Drawing Room Window
Across from the drawing room fireplace is a spectacular 14-foot art glass window in the shape of a segmental arch. Like other decorative windows in the mansion, this window incorporates the geometric and floral motifs designed by architect George W. Maher. Beneath the window is a padded seat that provides a cozy perch when warmed by the radiator it covers.

Foyer
Flanked by tulip-capped columns, the raised foyer provides access to the main staircase, the den, and the servants' side of the mansion. An 11-foot arched window on the South wall balances the arched entry to the foyer. Tulip wall sconces and matching chandelier repeat the motifs found throughout the house.

Den
Originally Hiram Stewart's office, this room now serves as a cozy, inviting place to read or play board games. The focal point of the room is a massive Arts and Crafts fireplace. Overhead is a unique ventilation system designed to exhaust cigar smoke. Guests are invited to select books and periodicals from the den to enjoy in their rooms.

East Porch
French doors in the dining room lead to the East Porch, a private, rain or shine place to relax in the North Woods.

Patio
A few steps down from the East Porch is a large patio surrounded by trees, shrubs, and flower gardens. The restful sound of falling water comes from a large fountain in the center of the patio. At night, courtyard lighting imbues the area with a magical quality.
