Beautifully kept 18th century mansion on the quieter side of Lancaster County. The rooms were delightfully furnished and there is an excellent restaurant. Don't rely on the breakfast to set you up for the day, but it is exquisite. The restaurant is certainly worth sampling for dinner, although don't deprive yourself of the chance to try some of the other dining around, like Bube's Brewery in Mount Joy itself. This is a great base for touring the Amish country - half an hour's drive from the bustle East of Lancaster but it might as well be a hundred miles for the feeling of peace and tranquility.
