When our son Kevin was born in Chicago, we felt it was time to leave the corporate world and start a business of our own.

In March of 1995, we came to Nantucket for the first time and fell in love with both the island and the Union Street Inn. The island's beauty and its strong sense of community, history, and culture resonated with us from the moment we arrived. Here was an island that was not only picture postcard beautiful but was home to people who were passionate about preserving its unique qualities.

In May of 1995, we changed our address and our life styles. We are thrilled to be working as a team. We offer an inn of simple luxury and warm, understated service on a very special island.
