Attractions:
- Historic Savannah District: Modern in its outlook, the
oldest city on Georgia's coast retains its charm and grace with stately
mansions, cobblestone streets, impeccably kept gardens, and tree-shaded
avenues and this Georgia Coast Inn. More than 1,400 buildings have
been restored in the 24 original tree-lined "squares," or parks,
which General Sherman found too enchantingly beautiful to burn. The
Savannah National Historic Landmark District
contains resplendently restored historic
churches, homes, libraries, an art
school, and historical
society.
