Wine Activities The Beechwood Inn sponsors and participates in number of wine events and wine related activities. We have hosted wine murder mysteries, wine tastings and wine education seminars. Well known winemakers and vineyard owners visit the Beechwood Inn and provide informational lectures and tastings. Your hosts will be glad to arrange for you or your group a number of wine activities, including dinners, tastings, tours or seminars that will enhance your vacation and relaxation plans. The Beechwood is located on the newly designated Georgia Wine Trail which features over a dozen Georgia Wineries. The Beechwood has its own wine license and is proud to offer a limited selection of high quality but reasonably priced wines for your enjoyment. Complimentary wine and appetizers are featured most afternoons on the large front porch.
Wine Dinners The Beechwood Inn is remodeled its kitchenin 2003, and is now offering gourmet wine dinners for guests by advance reservation. Chefs/Innkeepers David and Gayle Darugh have trained in Sonoma, California, Dijon, France and Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Dinners can be arranged for your small group by contacting the Beechwood and requesting a suggested menu. The Beechwood has a wine license and offers foreign, domestic and many high quality Georgia wines personally selected by David Darugh. You may also bring your own wine for a small corkage fee.

The Georgia Wine Trail Crane Creek Winery is located in Towns County and marks the top of the Georgia Wine Trail. It continues southeast through Clayton to Tiger and south to Helen, Dahlonega and Braselton. Then it travels east to Social Circle and Danielsville and west to Cartersville and Chickamauga in the northwest. The northeast corner of Georgia is quickly becoming the premier wine growing region as the area appears favorable to the growing of Premium French Vinifera.
