Originally constructed with local mountain stone in the 1930s, Chanticleer Inn looks the same on the outside but is very different on the inside today. Our 17 rooms within the Main Inn and the surrounding 5 cottages were completely renovated and remodeled in 2002 by the owners, Chris and Susan Maclellan. Each room has beautiful fabrics, classic antiques, comfortable Kingsdown beds and down comforters, central AC/heat and modern conviences. Susan's parents, Kirby & Judy Wahl, are the Innkeepers.  They moved from Southern California to be near their 4 grandchildren. They will greet you with a friendly smile and serve you a wonderful full breakfast.

Located high atop Lookout Mountain and minutes from Chattanooga, the Inn has its own pool and is nestled in a famous community surrounded by State & National Parks. The Mountain offers easy walking, hiking, golf, tennis, incredible views, historical civil war sites, and is adjacent to Rock City Gardens. Chattanooga has many other attractions including the Tennessee Aquarium/ Imax, Ruby Falls, a Childrens Museum, and the Hunter Art Musuem, etc. Whether you are planning a family reunion, wedding, romantic getaway, a business trip or are just driving through, we hope to see you soon.
