About This Property

Built in 1872 by Captain William T. Spencer, the Spencer House was distinguished as the finest hotel in St. Marys and southeast Georgia. Mr. Spencer served as collector of customs for the port of St. Marys between 1871 and 1873. Spencer House is an exquisitly preserved example of victorian-era architecture. The Spencer House Inn is decorated with fine antiques and beautiful reproductions. Selected fabrics, rugs and furnishings breathe new life into the big, sunny, many-windowed Inn. Original mouldings, high ceilings and heart pine floors add warmth and beauty to the Inn.
