How to Get to Lodge on Lake Lure

From Asheville: Take Highway 74A East to Bat Cave. Then, go east on Highway 64/74A for 9.3 miles, 4 miles past the Lake Lure Beach. Turn left onto Charlotte Drive, just past the Lake Lure Municipal Golf Course and Volunteer Fire Department. We are 1/2 mile up Charlotte Drive.

From Hendersonville : Take Highway 64 East to Bat Cave. Then, go east on Highway 64/74A for 9.3 miles, 4 miles past the Lake Lure Beach. Turn left onto Charlotte Drive, just past the Lake Lure Municipal Golf Course and Volunteer Fire Department. We are 1/2 mile up Charlotte Drive.

From Black Mountain : Take Highway 9 South to Bat Cave. Then, go east on Highway 64/74A for 9.3 miles, 4 miles past the Lake Lure Beach. Turn left onto Charlotte Drive, just past the Lake Lure Municipal Golf Course and Volunteer Fire Department. We are 1/2 mile up Charlotte Drive.

From the South Carolina Interstate 26 Corridor: Take I-26 West toward North Carolina. Exit at Exit 67 in Columbus, NC (the first exit in North Carolina). Turn right onto Highway 108 East, and proceed 4.7 miles to Highway 9 North. Turn left and go 9 miles until you reach the stop sign at the junction of Highway 64/74A. Lake Lure will be directly in front of you. Turn right onto Highway 64/74A East and go 1 mile. Turn left onto Charlotte Drive, just past the Lake Lure Municipal Golf Course and Volunteer Fire Department. We are 1/2 mile up Charlotte Drive.

 From Greenville, SC : Take Highway 25 North (White Horse Road) into North Carolina. Once in North Carolina, follow signs to Interstate 26 West and Asheville (do not take Exit 5). Get on I-26 West. At Exit 49A, exit onto Highway 64 East. Follow 64 East to the stop sign in Bat Cave. Turn right onto Highway 64/74A East. Go east on Highway 64/74A for 9.3 miles, 4 miles past the Lake Lure Beach. Turn left onto Charlotte Drive, just past the Lake Lure Municipal Golf Course and Volunteer Fire Department. We are 1/2 mile up Charlotte Drive. (Approximately 1 1/2 hours.)

From Atlanta : Take I-85 North to Exit 42 (Interstate 185 North) in South Carolina. Get on I-185 North and exit at Exit 15, Highway 25, White Horse Road (the first exit). Turn left onto Highway 25 North and follow it into North Carolina. Once in North Carolina, follow signs to Interstate 26 West and Asheville (do not take Exit 5). Get on I-26 West. At Exit 49A, exit onto Highway 64 East. Follow 64 East to the stop sign in Bat Cave. Turn right onto Highway 64/74A East. Go east on Highway 64/74A for 9.3 miles, 4 miles past the Lake Lure Beach. Turn left onto Charlotte Drive, just past the Lake Lure Municipal Golf Course and Volunteer Fire Department. We are 1/2 mile up Charlotte Drive. (Approximately 3 1/2 to 4 hours.)

From Charlotte : Take Interstate 85 South to Highway 74 West. Follow 74 West to Exit 167. Turn right onto Highway 9 North and go 12 miles to the stop sign at the junction of Highway 64/74A. Lake Lure will be directly in front of you. Turn right onto Highway 64/74A East and go 1 mile. Turn left onto Charlotte Drive, just past the Lake Lure Municipal Golf Course and Volunteer Fire Department. We are 1/2 mile up Charlotte Drive. (Approximately 2 hours.)

From Hickory, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Raleigh : From Interstate 40, take Exit 103 in Morganton. Turn left onto Highway 64 West, and continue for approximately 20 miles. Keep going straight at the intersection of Highways 64, 74A and 221. You are now on Highway 64/74A. Continue on Highway 64/74A West approximately 17 miles to the Point of View restaurant, where you will see your first view of Lake Lure. Our road is 2/10ths of a mile, or two curves in the road, past the Point of View Restaurant. Turn right at Charlotte Drive, just before the Volunteer Fire Department, but watch your mileage. The turn is on the far side of a curve, and is easy to pass. We are 1/2 mile up Charlotte Drive. Hickory is approximately 75 miles, and Greensboro approximately 3 hours.
