Cliffside Style  Our style of hospitality is a unique one. It's a hybrid experience with roots drawn from both a classic America Bed and Breakfast -- the warmth and intimacy -- and the luxury and service of a small deluxe European hotel. Set in one of America's most historic, oceanside destinations, Cliffside is an authentic, lavishly restored Victorian Manor House, filled with the artwork of enigmatic artist, and former resident, Beatrice Turner.

To that, we've added a number of sophisticated touches, from exotic bathing salons with whirlpools and steam baths, to grand beds and finely appointed guest quarters, to warm hospitality and refined dining.

What To Expect  In addition to the magnificent surroundings and accoutrements, you will find our complimentary food services memorable. Enjoy morning coffee service delivered to your room and a multi-course gourmet breakfast. Notable as those are, afternoon high tea is the main event around here.

You will see why critics have favorably compared it to the St. Regis, Waldorf-Astoria, and Fairmont Empress Hotels, in its grandness but steeped in an intimacy all its own. It's nicely accented by our chocolatier who creates truffles, chocolate-dipped fruits, cakes, and other signature treats for tea and turndown.

Service & Amenities  Evening turndown service, twice daily housekeeping, and a deluxe collection of bed and bath amenities, are just the beginning. We offer a full range of complimentary concierge services to help put your day and night together.

Newport features a wide array of cultural and natural attractions, from the Gilded Age mansions, colonial architecture and museums, to sweeping beaches, nature preserves, vineyards, and lighthouses, to world famous music festivals, sailing, tennis, golf, and of course, shopping and antiquing.
