Several couples exchange vows here each year. In the warmer months, you can have your ceremony in our beautiful perennial gardens with the rushing waterfall as a backdrop. For winter or rainy-day weddings, you may get married by candlelight in front of the fireplace in the Solarium. We have also had couples spend their wedding week or weekend here at the Inn, but they had their ceremony elsewhere--the Stowe Community Church, on top of Mt. Mansfield with views of the valley below (even on skis!), or other outdoor settings in and around Stowe, including under a covered bridge.

We simply provide a beautiful setting for the ceremony itself, a great home base for enjoying all the activities and scenery of Stowe during your wedding week and honeymoon, and a wonderful place to return to for anniversaries. With the help of a list of contacts we can provide, couples are responsible for making all their own arrangements. Some simply want a bouquet & boutonniere and a Justice of the Peace to come perform their brief ceremony. Most hire a photographer to capture the memories to share with family and friends when they get home. Some even hire a limousine to whisk them off to dinner after the ceremony. Our list of contacts includes Justices of the Peace, local places of worship, the Town Clerk’s office (where licenses are issued), florists, photographers, videographers, bakeries (if you would like to order a small cake), salons and spas, and limousine services. Because we are simply providing the setting and a little helpful information for planning, we charge our guests nothing extra for holding a brief ceremony and taking photos here.
