About This Property

The Inn at Turkey Hill is the result of a dream of Paul Eyerly, Jr. Located at 991 Central Road, Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, the Inn consists of the original structure; a brick farmhouse built in 1839, an addition built in 1984, and The Stables, completed in December 1996. The Inn is owned and operated by Andrew B. Pruden, the grandson of Mr. Eyerly, a local newspaper publisher and a gentleman farmer, who bought the property in 1942 for his family home.

The property was a 100 acre working farm until the 1960s when Interstate 80 came through. Since Mr. Eyerly and his wife, Libby Eyerly, desired privacy, they moved to another farm near Catawissa. He retained ownership of Turkey Hill Farm and continued to dream of creating an inn on the property.

Unfortunately, after he began the initial planning stages for the Inn, Mr. Eyerly passed away. His dream was carried on by his daughter, Elizabeth (Babs), and the Inn was opened in 1984. In August 2000, Andrew took ownership of the Inn. Babs continues to take care of the personal decorating touches around the Inn.
