- Main Street BookEnds of Warner: Our favorite bookstore. Not only a bookstore but an art gallery as well featuring great local artists and special events.. Log on and check out their events.
- Canterbury Shaker Village: Plan on spending the day. A great learning experience
- Pickity Place: Rustic and very special. Beautiful gardens, gardening and children's books and exquisite lunches. Their menu changes monthly. Definitely a step back in time.
- New England College: Find out what's happening at NEC located right in Henniker.

- Skiing - Cross Country: Blue Moon Farm ~ Great x-country skiing, snow shoeing, llama treks and light lunch... and more... Get out there before the rest of the world finds them. 603-456-3822
- Canoeing/Kayaking: Mt. Sunapee Downhill Skiing, Kayaking, Canoeing, Swimming and more. About 30 to 40 minutes from the inn.

- Shopping: Lakes Region Factory Store ~ "The shop 'till you drop spot." New England Outlet shopping at its best. Guarantee's credit card meltdown! 30 minutes away, but well worth the drive for great shopping at Coach, Gap, Bass, Nine West, etc.
- Ski Area: Pat's Peak Ski Area ~ Your name doesn't have to be Jean-Claude to have fun here. Great place to learn to ski or snowboard. I found it a great place to tune up for the season. Just 3 miles from the inn.
