Juniper Hill Inn was built in 1902 as a stately, grand yet comfortable Vermont country home for one of America's captain's of Industry, Maxwell Evarts. The colonial revival style mansion, listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, is noteworthy and our setting unparallel in New England. If inviting accommodations, fine dining, solitude and attention to comfort wrapped up in a casually elegant environment are important - we welcome you to visit Juniper Hill Inn.
During summer, the inn takes on a completely different appearance. Expansive well trimmed lawns and lovely perennial gardens draw your attention to the beauty of our location. Here at Juniper Hill you can look out over a private lake, watch Mt. Ascutney' s breezes play through our towering pines or simply relax on our comfortable Adirondack furniture. Stroll in nearby Paradise Park and return for a refreshing dip in our pool.
If your journey brings you to Vermont during the winter months for skiing, horse drawn sleigh rides or skating on a village pond, you can be assured you will create memories of a lifetime here. Imagine falling asleep to the sound of a crackling wood burning or gas fire and awakening to the crispness of fresh fallen snow.
The surrounding countryside will no doubt lure you away from time to time and each turn of the road will present yet another beautiful photographic opportunity. Take the day exploring the beautiful Upper Connecticut River Valley and its unspoiled charms.
When you first arrive at Juniper Hill Inn you win be impressed by the mansion's powerful silhouette atop it's namesake hill. Before you tour the grounds and explore the area, please come inside to meet the innkeepers. After all, this will be your home away from home and we are well prepared to make your stay pleasant and comfortable.
