We knew it the moment we saw it. An old mansion - nearly in ruins - rich in one family's history and vacant for decades. The dream of a young artist and his family to build a home on the same ground..... and an ancient limestone spring that must have drawn them to this place as it has drawn us. Here we would recreate a tradition of southern style and service that any resident from over 200 years of its known past would recognize as classic Virginian.
