Four Star Dining in the Four Columns Inn Restaurant

"...the meal was among the finest we've had anywhere."
- Jack Severson, Travel Editor, The Philadelphia Inquirer, 1999

The restaurant at the Four Columns Inn, which draws people from near and far, is considered by many to be the finest in New England. Dignitaries and celebrities including Henry Kissinger, John Kenneth Galbraith, Mick Jagger, Tom Cruise, Michael Douglas, Paul Newman, Nicole Kidman, Ron Howard, John Irving and Will Ackerman have journeyed to the Inn to experience Chef Parks's exceptional cuisine.

"Whatever you do, don't miss dinner."
- Country Home, 1999

Offering a distinctive blend of New American, Asian and French cuisine, Chef Greg Parks creates delicate tastes by combining these three distinct styles with the freshest Vermont-raised products - all served fireside in the Inn's romantic dining room. As a member of the Vermont Fresh Network, a cooperative effort between farmers and restaurants, the Inn is committed to serving fresh, high-quality foods from Vermont's working landscape.

Chef Parks, now in his 25th year with the Inn, was honored as a guest chef at the esteemed James Beard Foundation in 1999. This invitation validated Greg as one of the most talented and gifted chefs in the nation. As further testimony to his talents, Greg has also helped the restaurant earn the distinguished AAA Four-Diamond rating for each of the past 14 years, as well as a coveted membership in DiRoNA (Distinguished Restaurants of North America).

"As befitting the chef's art school background, the [food] presentations were visual masterpieces, treats for the eye as well as the palate."
- Bess Liebenson, Inside Fairfield County, 1999
