Pasidina, FLA | | | | “The only thing to surpass the beauty of The Buttonwood Inn is the warm hospitality of its hosts” ...Oakdale, PA | | | | “Jeffrey and Elizabeth Richards sit close to the fire at their Buttonwood Inn and smile over their mugs of hot chocolate. They haven’t been in the innkeeping business long, but they’ve already mastered the art.
It’s about warmth, coziness and sincerity – all things those who go the way of the north look for when they settle on a bed & breakfast or inn for a few days rest. After only four months keeping guests in their North Conway lodging, the Richards know what it is their customers are looking for.
The Buttonwood, a stately looking inn just north of the North Conway Main Street on Mount Surprise, is smartly decorated with wreaths on the exterior windows and pine roping around outside banisters and on indoor furniture. A decorated tree by the fireplace makes a sitting room feel like something out of a Norman Rockwell painting.
But more so than the actual decorating at the Buttonwood, it’s the Richards’ holiday spirit that permeates their bed & breakfast. If a guests arrive at 9 p.m., they’ll sit up and chat with the late arrivals by the fire for hours.
The treat their visitors like family – a guest book with notes from their visitors over the last few months is testament to that.” Manchester Union Leader..Gary Dennis "New Hampshire Sunday News", December 15, 2002. | | |
