Cherry Cream Cheese Muffins  

Ingredients
 
6 c. flour 2 c. sugar 3 tbsp. baking powder 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 1/2 c. milk 6 eggs 1 1/2 c. butter, soft or melted 2 tsp. almond extract 8 oz. cream cheese, softened 5 c. frozen Door County cherries  

Directions
 
In a large bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder and cinnamon. In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, eggs, milk and almond extract. Combine butter mixture into dry ingredients. Stir in the cream cheese and then the cherries. Fill muffin tin liners 3/4 full and sprinkle tops with cinnamon/sugar and bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
